SESSION 1 - Reimagining the Cross, Hook, Cross!
We focused on different ways to adapt the standard cross hook cross combination to make it more defensively responsible I.e. make it harder to punch you in the face whilst you are doing it!
SESSION 2 - Doubling up punches and Complimentary punch combos!
This was our third online session, enjoy!

SESSION 3 - Entering with a high knee
This session we covered entering a combination with a high knee to break distance, generate power and shield incoming lowline attacks.
SESSION 4 - Close range cover blocking and counter striking
So in this session we looked at our Atom strategy for close range cover blocking in view of "what to do if I get attacked in the street"? We had a few technical difficulties but it all came out alright in the end!
SESSION 5 - 10 different elbows and how to use them for maximum effect!
Todays class was all about elbows and fitting them into our normal fighting strategies.
We covered:
Horizontal Elbows (left and right) Rising Elbows (front and rear)
Spear Elbows (front and rear)
Up Elbows (front and rear)
Straight Elbows (front and rear)
Straight Horizontal Elbows (front and rear)
Jumping Tomahawk Elbow
Wing Elbows (left and right)
Descending Elbows (left and right)
And stick around until the end for the added, and unintended, spinning back elbow combinations!
SESSION 6 - Slip and slot in the uppercut
So today we focused on ways to slip in the uppercut as we evade a jab.
SESSION 7 - Evasive striking
Unfortunately our full session recording got deleted by a technical issue but this quick recap goes over the techniques we covered and I've listed them below as well.
Technique 1
1. Step, jab, cross, withdraw at a 45 degree angle
2. Step, jab, cross, withdraw at a 45 degree angle whilst throwing a left hook
3. Step, jab, cross, withdraw at a 45 degree angle whilst throwing a left hook, Bob back to the inside, uppercut, hook, cross, step left and pivot out
4. Step, jab, cross, withdraw at a 45 degree angle whilst throwing a left hook, Bob back to the inside, uppercut, hook, cross, step left and pivot out, add a kick to the back leg
Technique 2
1. Step, jab, cross, step back, lean back
2. Step, jab, cross, step back, lean back, side kick to midsection
3. Step, jab, cross, step back, lean back, side kick to midsection, step 45 degrees forward with left foot, elbow or overhand right
4. Step, jab, cross, step back, lean back, side kick to midsection, step 45 degrees forward with left foot, elbow or overhand right, tight overhand left, right hook, pivot hook out (left hook)
Technique 3
1. Step in at 45 degree angle (left foot), cross or overhand right, tight overhand left, uppercut, pivot hook
2. Step in at 45 degree angle (left foot), cross or overhand right, tight overhand left, pivot hook out (right hand), pivot hook out (left hand)
SESSION 8 - Keeping your head safe whilst striking
Today we focused on staying loose and protecting your head whilst striking.

SESSION 9 - Combinations off the knee
In todays session we were practicing our knee combinations, seeing how we can slot them in and make them damaging to our opponent and safe for us!
SESSION 10 - Doubling up the slip and evasive movement
Today we were focusing on doubling up our slips. One big issue with the traditional way that slips are taught is that, like traditional blocking, it only teaching the student to deal with a single punch. When they then encounter a flurry in sparring they are not equipped to deal with it.
SESSION 11 - Ground and pound
Today we gave our feet a rest an explored the wonderful world of ground and pound from the top position. Enjoy!

We had a special anniversary session today exploring a host of other martial arts including:

SESSION 13 - Exploring Split entries & covering the basics
Today we are looking at working on our basics and different ways to enter an exchange.
SESSION 14 - Fighting in Southpaw
So today we were looking at the benefit of fighting from a south paw stance even if you are right handed!
SESSION 15 - WE ARE BACK FROM LOCK DOWN! (kind of) - Parks session 1 - Kick counters against the jab

SESSION 16 - Landing the Livershot
Today we were focusing on how to land the Livershot from different angles with the punch, kick and knee.
The Livershot tutorial starts at 30 minutes in after we have worked through our basic head and footwork.
SESSION 17 - Slip, Bob & Weave, Evade and Counter
So today we were focusing on our slip and counters.
SESSION 18 - Open handed manipulations
Today we were focusing on manipulating your opponent into harder strikes and advantageous positions with open handed strikes.
SESSION 20 - Atom techniques (Long, Medium and Short range)
So today we were focusing on our Atom options.
SESSION 21 - Smoke techniques (Hit and Move)
Today we were focusing on hitting and move off on an angle. The message to take away was don't stay in front of your opponent between attacks.
SESSION 22 - Building up to a ten hit combination with evasive foot movement
This session we took a step back to go through our striking combos all the way from a single jab to a massive 10 hit combo. Enjoy!
